Publishing Guidelines

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process and are evaluated by the program committee. The conference upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. All authors submitting to the conference are expected to adhere to the following principles:

1. Originality and Plagiarism: Submitted manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration elsewhere. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others is required, and all forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism and duplicate publication, are strictly prohibited. All submissions will be screened using plagiarism detection software before review.

2. Authorship and Contributions: Authorship should accurately reflect significant intellectual contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. All listed authors must approve the final version and consent to submission. Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately. Ghostwriting and guest authorship are unacceptable.

3. Double-Blind Review Process: All papers are subject to a double-blind peer review involving at least two independent reviewers with recognized expertise in the field. Reviewers are selected from diverse institutions and regions to ensure impartiality and avoid bias. The review policy is publicly available on the conference website, and authors must anonymize their submissions appropriately.

4. Reviewer Independence and Documentation: The review process is overseen by the editorial board to guarantee independence and consistency. Reviews, decisions, and reviewer assignments are documented and securely archived as evidence of quality control. Acceptance or rejection decisions are made only after careful evaluation of reviewer reports.

5. Consistency and Fairness: All submissions are evaluated according to the same standards, criteria, and level of rigor. The process is designed to ensure transparency, accountability, and fairness to all authors regardless of affiliation, region, or seniority.

6. Conflicts of Interest: Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal conflicts of interest that could compromise objectivity. Any potential conflicts will be managed by the editorial board to preserve the integrity of the process.

7. Ethical Research Practices: Research involving human participants, animals, personal data, or sensitive materials must comply with relevant international and institutional ethical standards. Authors must confirm appropriate ethical approvals and informed consent where applicable.

8. Editorial Oversight and Governance: The editorial board and program committee are responsible for supervising the peer review process, ensuring compliance with publishing standards, and making final acceptance decisions based on reviewer feedback. The board is accountable for the overall academic quality of the proceedings.

9. Use of AI Tools in Research and Writing: AI-assisted tools may be used under conditions of transparency and accountability. Please read also our GenAI Policy.

  • Disclosure: Authors must clearly state in the acknowledgments or footnotes which AI tools were used and for what purpose (e.g., language editing, coding assistance).
  • Accountability: Authors remain fully responsible for all submitted content. AI tools cannot be credited as authors.
  • Integrity: AI must not be used to fabricate data, create fake references, or manipulate research findings.

10. Rejections and Penalties for Breach of Guidelines: The conference enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward violations of academic integrity and ethical publishing standards. Submissions found to contain plagiarism, fabricated or manipulated data, false citations, or undisclosed conflicts of interest will be immediately rejected. If such breaches are discovered after acceptance or publication, the paper will be withdrawn or retracted from the proceedings, and a formal notice of retraction will be issued. In serious cases, the authors may be barred from submitting to future editions of the conference, and their institutions may be notified. The editorial board reserves the right to take appropriate corrective measures to safeguard the quality, credibility, and reputation of the conference proceedings.

11. Copyright and Licensing Policy: Liberec Economic Forum conference is committed to safeguarding author rights while ensuring the widest possible dissemination of scholarly work. Authors retain the copyright of their contributions. By submitting a paper to the conference, authors grant the organizers and the publishing partner a non-exclusive and irrevocable license to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive the work in both print and electronic formats. This includes indexing in Scopus, Web of Science and other recognized academic databases. All accepted papers will be published under a [Creative Commons License, e.g., CC BY-NC 4.0], unless otherwise specified. This license allows others to share and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes provided that proper attribution is given to the original authors. Any commercial use or substantial modifications require prior written permission from both the authors and the publisher. Although the publisher holds the right to disseminate the official version of the work, authors retain extensive rights to reuse their research. They may incorporate parts of their paper into future publications, theses, books, or presentations, and they are free to distribute their work through institutional or subject repositories. In this way, authors maintain control over the scholarly use of their work while benefitting from the visibility and reach offered by the conference proceedings.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that any third-party material, such as figures, images, or datasets, included in their papers is properly licensed or accompanied by the necessary permissions. Proof of such permissions may be requested during the editorial process. To maximize accessibility, the conference follows an open access policy, making all accepted papers freely available to the research community without charges for readers. Any violation of this policy, including plagiarism, unauthorized use of third-party material, or infringement of copyright, may lead to the rejection of a submission or the retraction of a published paper. In severe cases, the matter may be referred to the authors’ institution or pursued through appropriate legal channels. This policy is aligned with best practices recommended by Elsevier, Scopus, and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), ensuring that the rights of authors are preserved while the conference maintains responsibility for the quality, dissemination, and long-term preservation of its published content.

The review process

All submissions to the conference undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure fairness, transparency, and academic quality.

Peer review process

Each paper is assigned to two independent expert reviewers. Based on the reviewers’ reports, the  editorial committee prepares a summary recommendation that consolidates the feedback and communicates the overall decision.

Author response and revision

Authors of accepted papers will have the opportunity to revise their manuscripts in light of reviewer and editorial feedback. This revision phase is designed to strengthen the final publication and ensure that contributions meet the conference’s academic standards.

Camera-ready submission

Authors are required to submit their final camera-ready versions of accepted papers by the specified deadline. The final version should incorporate reviewer suggestions, follow the conference formatting requirements, and be ready for inclusion in the official conference proceedings.

Please keep in mind

We accept submissions of only full-length papers. Please note that only papers presented at the conference will be included in the proceedings. Our conference proceedings are indexed in the Web of Science and will also be submitted for indexation in Scopus.
